Uwe Neumeier appointed new Managing Director at Actebis Peacock

Bärbel Schmidt is leaving the Board

As of 1 October 2009, Uwe Neumeier (43) will assume the position of Managing Director in charge of purchasing and sales at Actebis Peacock. He replaces Bärbel Schmidt who, after almost six years, is leaving the Executive Board of the Soest-based distributor on the very best of terms. As a member of the Executive Board, Mr. Neumeier will be responsible for Actebis Peacock in Germany and also Actebis Computerhandels GmbH in Austria. Harald Mach will continue to be the Managing Director in charge of operations at Actebis in Austria. Mr. Neumeier will sit on the Executive Board of Actebis Peacock alongside Klaus Hellmich (Chairman) and Dr. Ralf Retzko (Finance).

Mr. Neumeier spent many years in various management roles at Hewlett Packard. He began his career there in 1997 in the “Personal Systems Group” of the Servers and Networks department. He then took on various responsibilities at national and international level in the Sales, Marketing and Business Development sectors in the “Technology Solution Group” and “Imaging and Printing Group”. Latterly, he was in charge of HP ProCurve network business in Germany in his role as Country Manager. Klaus Hellmich, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Actebis Group and Actebis Peacock is confident about this new appointment: “Uwe Neumeier is very well versed in this distribution channel and, together with the existing management team, he will drive forward the successful development of Actebis Peacock.”

Commenting on the departure of Bärbel Schmidt, Hellmich emphasizes: “We would like to thank Bärbel Schmidt for the almost six years she devoted to the company and the immense personal commitment she has displayed.
