Actebis receives Seagate's "Golden Disk" award for selling one million Seagate hard disks. Actebis extends its peripheral range by taking on the distribution of Panasonic and Hewlett-Packard products. Halfway through the year, Actebis begins assembling Schneider PCs in Soest. The third foreign subsidiary starts up in France.

Actebis expands its range of standard application software. In October the second subsidiary is set up in Switzerland. At the end of the year, Actebis celebrates the sale of the 100,000th PC made in Soest. Actebis is now ranked number two amongst German PC distribution companies.

Actebis own-brand PCs are redesigned and relaunched under the brand name Targa. The first subsidiary is opened in Austria. The goal of the new company is to market the new Targa PCs and Seagate's hard disks in Austria.
