After training as a management assistant in wholesale between 1982 and 1989, Volker Schwellenberg – born 20 January 1962 in Korbach, Germany – started his career at the pharmaceutical wholesaler Andreae-Noris Zahn AG (ANZAG). While there, he played a key role in restructuring the company’s network of branches, particularly regarding expansion into former East Germany following reunification.

He was head of logistics at Computer 2000 between 1989 and 1994, then spent four years in charge of logistics and service at Macrotron, after which he worked at Maxdata for three years, where he helped establish the company’s European service network.

In the year 2000, Mr. Schwellenberg was appointed head of Logistics and Service at the Actebis Group and in 2004 he took over as head of Product Management, E-Commerce, Marketing and then later on Retail.

In 2008, he was appointed managing director of NT plus GmbH in Osnabrück and a member of the Management Board of the Actebis Group.
