Spring 2005 - first purchases - shoes and mattresses
The first donations were used to buy the items needed most badly by the original orphanage - shoes, clothing, mattresses, cooking equipment, fans, etc.
Summer 2005 - groundbreaking ceremony
Following the demolition of an old building, a Hindu ceremony was held to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new orphanage.

Spring/Summer 2006 – construction progress
In April and May, Actebis celebrated its 20th anniversary und asked business partners to mark the occasion with donations rather than gifts. As a result, donations amounting to 40,000 Euro were collected. Despite the resurgence of civil war in Sri Lanka, price increases and shortages of building materials, the ground floor was completed and work began on the upper floor.

Autumn 2007 – completion, inauguration, move
On October 24 the orphanage was inaugurate with a big ceremony. All VIPs of the site, presidents, priests, the children and youth of the orphanage joined the ceremony and organised a day with solemn festivities. A signboard which shows Actebis and the Foundation Juergen Wan was unveiled and has got a place of honour next to the entrance.
